RESEARCH INTERESTS
The interests of my work are related to the functional investigation of the enzymes in the DXP-independent vitamin B6 biosynthetic pathway, which occurs in plants, archaea, fungi and the majority of eubacteria. Next to that I will try to clarify the not yet answered question of how the biosynthesis of the pyrimidine moiety of vitamin B1 occurs in planta.
